Nunga Cafe – 10th April
On Thursday 10th April the Aboriginal Students of Elizabeth Grove School
hosted a Nunga Café in the newly renovated Community Room for their
families and caregivers.
Throughout Term 1 the Aboriginal students worked with Kerri Squires (SSO)
on designing menus and invitations.
Most of the Aboriginal students worked with Kerri to come up with simple and affordable recipes and over a 5
week period they pre-cooked food for the night. The upper primary Aboriginal students also helped the younger
Aboriginal students cook food. The students who attended on the evening then helped with the serving of
food and were very good at keeping peoples plates full of food.

I was doing a two day workshop with Sharron Watts and I decided to get onto the inter-net and check this deadly place out. My son Billy Bartlett & my grandson attended the EGPS. It was great then and now it has grown even more and it seems like the children would enjoy going to this great school.
I was also surprised to see that Di Gardner is still there, and also Mrs Tobitt who taught my grandson Rodney Weetra.
Keep up the great work and it can only get better and better. One suggestion it would be good to have a coming back to Elizabeth Grove Day for past students.
Excellent to read the remarks from the staff.
Cheers Eunice
