The Smith Family is an education charity that has supported disadvantaged communities in Australia since 1922 and operates in over 94 communities Australia wide. The Learning for Life Program supports families whose children attend partner schools in some disadvantaged areas in the north and offers financial support for school related expenses for up to 3 children per family. Learning for life scholarships are arranged via referral by the partner school and are linked to excellent attendance. Families are supported through a range of literacy programs and opportunities from the early and primary years through to senior and tertiary scholarship opportunities. Information on community agencies, supports and services can be provided to families by The Smith Family – Family Partnership Coordinators or Program Coordinators in partner schools.
