At Elizabeth Grove Primary we strive to promote the benefits of living a healthy and active lifestyle, in and out of school. Students in all year levels actively participate in at least one specialist lesson a week. The specialist program provides students with the opportunity to develop, refine and practice skills that are fundamental to their physical development and participation in physical activity and sports.
In the primary setting we aim to provide many opportunities and experiences for our students to explore their interests and skills in physical activities. As students get older, they are introduced to a wide variety of sports to try and may also have the opportunity to compete in inter school carnivals.
The PE program is centered around the core school value of 'we try your personal best' and ensuring a 'have a go' attitude. The program also places a huge emphasis on developing team work and social skills through peer interaction.
It is great to see the students having fun with their peers and trying new things in PE!
